Nestled in a quiet wooded setting of this charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath single family open concept home is a classic little beach house.
Our apologies, we are no longer renting out the Cottage in the summers. Living full time at the beach is amazing! But let's still enjoy the #CottageCore listing and pictures, shall we? You never know, someday we might be added to the Beach and Bay Cottage Tour! A girl can dream.
Savannah's Landing is a lovely small community of single family homes ringed with white picket fences, small ponds, shaded walking paths, a sparkling large pool & tennis courts, antique style street lamps and only a short bike ride to the quiet beach resort of Bethany Beach, Delaware.
The Coastal Cottage features a lovely screened-in porch, multi-level deck, outdoor shower, gas grill and more.
I have to admit, the screened-in porch is my favorite spot to read and relax.
Open plan living greets you in the foyer, with a bright vaulted living room & library nook that flows into the updated kitchen.
The master bedroom is large, also vaulted, and painted in a relaxing Tiffany blue. There's a media armoire that discretely hides a large flat screen LCD TV perfect for streaming and screening. Did I mention that of course the cottage has high speed wireless Internet? I mean, c'mon...you're on vacation but you gotta be able to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, right? (So don't forget to pack your AmazonFire stick, Roku, or Apple TV!)
The NEW master bath walk-in shower features gleaming white subway tiles, a Carrara marble basket wave niche, built-in shower bench, Kohler Artifact series rain shower and a four-way hand-held sprayer with a sleek frameless barn door-style shower door. It's like having your own SPA at the beach! My beloved late Uncle Barry (who was a home improvement genius) said it was the best shower he has ever seen! Who am I to argue!?
Bedroom three is actually a bright front sunroom with a flat screen TV, HDMI video streaming adapter, Apple wifi bridge for fast gaming, and a queen size pull out sofa bed - that actually is comfortable!
Wooden whales and sharks swim in the beadboard paneled hallway full bathroom with tub.
The library nook has built in bookcases with a variety of classic and contemporary fiction, young adult novels (a few weeded favorite books from my school library that I just couldn't part with), and a quirky collection of DVD's. A cozy cushioned window seat is nestled between the bookshelves and has many games and puzzles tucked into the cabinets beneath. Beside the comfy swivel rocker with printed sealife club chair with gliding ottoman is a handy USB outlet so that you can read all day long on your favorite tablet (or play a few games of Plants Vs. Zombies!)
Pretty dishes, beachy coffee mugs, and shellworthy stemless wineglasses fill the cupboards. There's also a few custom Coastal Cottage squeezable plastic cups!
All dinnerware is service for 12, because the dishwasher doesn't know how many dishes are in there!
Feel like cooking? There's a full compliment of cookware including premium pots, pans, a crock pot, blender, large vegetable steamer, and of course a whistling teapot.
Why is making a big gallon pitcher of iced tea mean summer fun to me? I always include a couple Earl Grey and at least one teabag of Plantation Mint to my regular black tea bags for the perfect mix. Mmmm!
NEW! Under cabinet lights to add a lovely glow and to light the kitchen work space! New Keurig with a variety of K-Cups to try! Or bring your favorite flavor! Mine is REVV -- it's pretty strong!

But my favorite spot in the whole cottage - is the screened in porch! Ahhh! There's a ceiling fan in there to help those cross breezes cool you off as you relax, read, talk, and bliss out!
Check availability and rates! Or reserve your week for next summer!
Oh, and did I mention the outdoor shower with waterfall shower head? So fun!

Housekeeping & Practicalities
Trash goes out every Monday evening after 5pm for Tuesday AM pickup.
We do have curbside recycling! There are blue recycling bags in the cabinet under the living room TV. There is a special stainless steel recycling can under the kitchen desk counter.
is every other week - this year that means:
July 3, 17, 31
August 14, 28
Please bring back the bins after pickup.
Of course there is Wireless!
MediaCom is our provider - contact information is in your welcome packet and on the refrigerator.
Please park in the driveway, it can fit 3 vehicles! I find it easiest to back into the driveway, but it is a little tricky since it curves and thank goodness my backup camera has lines to follow. The community doesn't like people to park on the street. I've noticed that only tradesmen and construction professionals park on the street.
