New in the Neighborhood! Shipwrecked Mini Golf & Ice Cream opens
up across the street! - or Across Atlantic Avenue - within walking
distance of the Cottage. There's even a street bypass trail up by the
Canal Bridge so you don't have to cross that busy road with beach
traffic.

Dining Options? Covid has brought more food delivery apps like Door Dash & ChowNow to Bethany Beach & Ocean View! Bethany Blues will deliver through Chownow - their food is amazing! Favorites are their BBQ, Pigs on the Wing, Lime - Crab Avocado Deviled Eggs, homemade chili, and their crab cake sandwich is amazing and a great deal at only $17.

Northeast has lovely outside patio dining with widely spaced tables
& booths and a great curbside pickup program also through Chownow.
We've stayed away from dining out & do more delivery
& pickups these days. But, we have eaten outside at Northeast Seafood Kitchen
(pictured above) under the sweet pergola. Northeast is a family
favorite, so close - it's almost across the street. Call for
reservations
or show up when they open.
Through
DoorDash right now (and this could change - more options are added
& some drop off during on-season) there is Bethany Diner, Finn's
Alehouse & Seafood (seafood pasta is crazy good), WaWa, Royal Farms,
and another perennial family favorite & home of the amazing Peanut
Butter Pie, the Big Fish Grill in Ocean View.

people will wanting to do this summer - but it's great that there are SO
many other options. 
Grocery Delivery: Groceries are also now available for delivery through Shipt & Instacart.
Shipt
has Harris Teeter and Instacart has Giant in Millville (gets really
busy & crowded during the summer!). Fresh There's also Bed,
Bath, & Beyond, CVS, Rite Aid Pharmacy, & BJ's Wholesale Club
Delivery through Instacart. Here are the other local Instacart offerings (but
again, things change on apps all the time) I have been very pleased
with this convenience. Only costs a few dollars more and about 2 hours
wait, & it's delivered onto the porch!

The main dining area is great for families & kids. But, they don't take reservations, so if you come on a summer Saturday after 5pm be prepared for a big of a wait -- but it's totally worth it!
My Yelp Review of Big Fish Grill in Ocean View
If you have kids or you just like pizza, you can't beat Grotto Pizza, also on 26! They even have a little arcade for the kids to play in and they've just been recently renovated. (It's right next to Di Febo's - more on them below) Grotto's also has great Italian Gelato to go, too! But there's also a Rita's next door. That darn custard is to die for. I've been trying to be more healthy-ish since January so only a wee small cup for me!
DiFebo's Is Worth the Splurge!
Let me first rhapsodize about the bread there....served with their house made Parmesan & herb cheese blend - just stir that together with their olive oil for dipping, and it's heavenly! My favorite starter is their Anti-pasta appetizer to share. NOM!

A splurge would be the filet - that's my birthday choice. Pretty spendy, but it's amazing!
"8oz Center Cut Filet Mignon 38 topped with Blue Cheese and fig chutney, Creamy Asiago mashers fresh seasonal vegetable sautéed with roasted garlic. add crab or shrimp $48"
Another sure choice would be the Cioppino fish & seafood stew. It comes with Linguini and is delicious. Plentiful seafood, mussels, shrimp, and fish in a savory tomato garlicky broth. Gluten free? Watching your carbs? For a few dollars more you can substitute Zoodles! So good I had to ask, are you sure these are made from Zucchini?
Save room for desert and try either the chocolate cake or peanut butter pie. Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding authentic Italian dishes, and great service, really -- totally worth the splurge!

There's also a Harris Teeter in Selbyville which is not too far from Bethany Beach.
Atlantic Liquors on Coastal Hwy in Rehoboth has the BEST prices. We like the Pinot Grigio - The Beachhouse Wines
